The top two seeds in the Junior Division faced off for the 2010 Junior Division Championship. The Dodgers jumped out to an early lead by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the first. The Pirates came right back with two runs in the 2nd inning and four runs in the 3rd inning to take a 6-3 lead. In the bottom of the 3rd, the Dodgers erupted for six runs to take the 9-6 lead.
It was a lead the Dodgers would not give up as they added three more in the 4th and two in the 5th to take a 14-6 lead. The Pirates rallied in the top of the 6th, but an unassisted double play ended the game. The Dodgers beat the Pirates, 14-6. Congratulations to both teams for a great season season and a well-played championship game.

The #1 Seed Dodgers and Seed #4 Astros faced off in a battle at Gile Road with a spot in the Championship Game on the line. The Astros gave the Dodgers all they could handle with Amanda C.
blasting a double to the outfield as well as some solid defense at third with a line drive catch by Ellie D.

The other semi-final matchup featured the #2 Seed Pirates and the #3 Seed Giants at Kelly Field. The Pirates escaped with a 8-7 win over the Giants to earn a spot in the Junior Division Championship Game.
Sunday/Monday, June 13-14, 2010
The #1 Seed Dodgers and Seed #8 Orioles faced off in the first round of the playoffs Sunday night. It was a good game with fun had by all. The Orioles came out strong with 3 runs in the first inning and continued hitting throughout the game. Colleen M. had a big hit to left field, Kelsey L. made a great catch in right field. Samantha J. pitched a great inning shutting the Dodgers down. Kelly H. pitched in her first game and had one strike out and Lindsey J. had 2 strikeouts in her inning on the mound. The Dodgers had a couple good plays by Natalie C., Thalia B. and Emily T. Katherine M. pitched well in the top of the 6th - striking out one! The Dodgers move on to the Semifinals of Junior Division Playoffs Wednesday night.
The #2 Pirates outlasted the #7 Phillies
is a game that was close until the last few innings. The #4 Astros edged the #5 White Sox
to advanced to the next round. And in the game of the night, the #3 Giants won a thriller over the #6 Angels
. With the Giants down by a run, they rallied for two runs to take the lead in the 5th. In the top of the 6th, the Angels had their leadoff runner on 3rd with no outs. With the tying run 54 feet away, the Giants retired the next three batters to preserve the win.
